You know those “what every woman should know in their…” or “what you should have accomplished by…” lists? While I’m guilty of reading my fair share of those, I cant say that many of them are realistic or relatable by “every woman”. But I do think I found the one list most women can probably relate to and agree with (especially all you fashion lovers). Leandra Medine breaks it down for Harpers Bazaar readers with 15 pretty basic things. Check it out when you get a chance – it’s short and sweet! #15 is my personal favorite. Click the Pic:
It’s officially December and you know what that means. Bring on the amazing NYC holiday windows! It’s that time of year where big department stores become the center of attention and 5th avenue turns into a Fashion Christmas Wonderland! Here are 3 of my faves:
Saks 5th Avenue tells the legend of the Saks Yeti, who is said to live on roof of the building and make snow in the winter! In one window, onlookers can even throw a digital snowflake at the store.
Macy’s windows: A Journey Through a Crystal Forest
And (in my opinion) I’ve saved the best for last:
Bergdorf Goodman: “High Fashion on Ice” Each of their Windows depicted a different holiday but all were decked out in amazing fashions.
It’s official! After months of speculation and stressing about what will happen to Louis Vuitton after the end of Marc Jacobs’ tenure, Nicolas Ghesquiere has officially taken his position as Artistic Director of the iconic fashion house. Despite his bitter departure from Balenciaga, his time there was said to be incredibly successful for the brand (obviously, hes amazing). Rumor has it he’s bringing his former Balenciaga assistant Natacha Ramsay over to Louis Vuitton with him. Huge personal fans of the cutting-edge designer, we cannot wait to see what he’s going to do for Louis Vuitton. This could mean big changes for the almost 160 year old brand as they continue to find new ways to maintain their classic style while growing with the ever-changing contemporary fashion trends. Officially counting the days to the Spring14 Paris Fashion Week debut!
Absolutely obsessed describes how I feel about Alice and Olivia’s two item holiday collection for Starbucks. She’s calling her collection unBEARably chic (and we can obviously see why). Consisting of her signature black and white stripes and tutu – the Double Wall Ceramic ‘Tutu’ Tumbler and ‘Bearista’ Bear (seen above) will be available at StarbucksStore.com starting Nov. 1st and in stores Nov. 12th. We’re predicting that it will sell out incredibly fast. What a great holiday gift idea for all your unBEARably chic friends!

Sure, it would be more fun to outfit the real live Duchess, but sometimes a pen and paper will just have to suffice, and today WWD asked a bevy of designers to come up with dresses fit for the last few months of Kate Middleton’s pregnancy. As you might expect, some options look more realistic than others.
Donna Karan designed a draped gown in striking blue that we could picture Kate wearing to a formal engagement, captioning the illustration: “Kate Middleton is elegant, sensual, timeless. This is a dress she could wear forever, at any age, at any stage, during and after her pregnancy.”
Karl Lagerfeld also went with blue, albeit in a rather different silhouette. For the pregnant royal, he sketched a bright navy Chanel frock with a mullet hem, high neck, and plunging neckline, adding the caption, “I think this dress is very much in her taste,” and scrawling “proud to be pregnant” at the top of the page. This isn’t exactly the first time he’s gotten fanciful with Kate’s wardrobe — recall the time he suggested she accessorize her “modern Victorian” wedding gown with a pair of thigh high boots? Something tells us he has fun with these little projects. - Styleite
